"Celi Bitshou(manou) is from Congo Brazzaville and started his career with Les Bantous in 1962. Together with Youlou he joined OK Jazz in 1966 and together with Youlou (and Mosese) he left Franco in 1972 for Vicky's Orchestre Lovy.

In 1973, the three started a new band, Orch. Somo Somo, but soon Youlou quit to rejoin OK Jazz. When Somo Somo fell apart in the mid 1970s Bitshou joined Orchestre Veve [1]. He composed their 1977 hit "Muana Mburu" but left shortly after to start a solo career."

During the late 1970s he relased with his Orchestre Celi Bitshou several singles. Celi Bitshou is well known to have written Mado for OK Jazz. [2]
