Senegalese singer and bandleader. b. early 1960s in Fatick, Senegal. He started with a band called Dioung de Fatick a band which played r&b. Later Pape Seck engaged him for the Star Band de Dakar where he played from 1979 to 1981. Then, from 1983 till 1985 he continued with Youssou N'Dour's Super Étoile de Dakar. He continued with the Orchestre National du Sénégal until he was approached by Pape Fall again: Menheim joined Africando with whom he recorded four albums. In 1977 he set up his own band, Le Spuer Sabador, and recorded tracks which were released on two cassette tapes in 1999 and 2000. [1]
